As a counselor we ask that you are actively working to be a GOOD APOSTOLIC counselor throughout camp. You must complete the required training as directed on our training page to become a counselor. You will be assigned to a cabin with up to nine campers under your care. Each cabin includes bunk beds for the campers and counselor/s. All meals during your stay are provided in the dining hall. Junior cabins will have be assigned two counselors per cabin.
Each cabin will also have its own unique name and flag, encouraging team identity and unity. As a counselor, your responsibilities include:
Ensuring your campers attend all scheduled activities, meals, and church services
Overseeing the cleanliness and upkeep of your cabin by guiding campers in daily responsibilities
Helping enforce and model camp rules and behavioral expectations
Providing spiritual guidance and being a positive influence throughout the camp experience
While the role comes with responsibility, it is also a meaningful opportunity to pour into the lives of young people—the future of the Apostolic movement.
Staff
As a member of the CAYC staff team, you will work closely with the leadership of YJNPC to help ensure a smooth and safe camp experience for all. Staff lodging is provided in a dedicated staff lodge, and all meals are served in the dining hall. Staff roles vary and may include logistics, operations, hospitality, support for activities, and more.
